Burgos and Burgers

sunday 19 April walked to Burgos one of the few large cities we go thru on our walk. Very large city , walked more than 12k´s thru the outskirts and were feeling a little frustrated that we could not see the cathedral. Old eagle eye Michele spoted something better - a burger king logo. Made a beeline for it and enjoyed a whopper meal far more than one should. We then eventually found the Cathedral which was stunning. for once we arrived when it was open and enjoyed a tour of the Cathedral and the city via little chu chu train oh so much better than walking. El Cid is the main man here - need to check my history before i say to much more. the Albergue was very new and modern practically luxury for 3e a night. Had an excellent night out with our own little gang of pilgrims at a great tapas bar. x

  5. At least you get to talk to each other in English, must be hard work trying to work out Spanish let alone all of the other mixes you are getting in there! If you are feeling down at any stage just be thankful (& say a prayer which sounds like you are good at these now!)that you are not on the Kokoda Track where 2 Aussies have died this week. Apparently worst wet season ever? and lots of mud (which you know ALL about), love Jan, J, J, L & S xx

  6. Didn't want to tell you that. Anne and Pete arrived safely in Riball?? on Wednesday, and have spoken to Mum.
One of those who waits at home to be served first.
    Love You. Noel XXXXXXXX
P.S. Take care of your knees and that Burger King dose not become a staple.

  7. Dear Noel & Michele, please forgive my faux pas with the KT, I absolutely forgot that you had relatives doing that at some stage. Sincere apologies for my oversight, Jan
